“Evans” Cherry

$25.00

‘Evans’ cherry is a bush, or”sour cherry,” discovered in Canada. It grows 8′ tall and 8′ wide and lives about 20 years. It’s also self-pollinating, though will likely perform better with another sour cherry nearby.  While not as sweet as sweet cherries, they are perhaps our favorite fruit we grow. Wait to pick until they are dark red. They’re plenty sweet, and very few make it inside our house before being eaten! They are fantastic for making cherry liqueur. Overwintered in Alaska and sold in 1-gallon trade pots.
